Elephants are not only in peril because of poaching but also face an immediate and urgent threat from President Trump and his family.
The decision by President Trump to allow for the import of elephant trophies into the United States will increase the senseless killing by big game hunters of this threatened and vulnerable keystone species.

I also call on them to immediately disband the International Wildlife Conservation Council established by President Trump and former Secretary of the Interior Zinke due to the bias of the committee caused by the conflict of interest of the big-game hunters who comprise the majority of the Council and whose interest is to advocate for the killing of elephants instead of working to ensure the protection of this vulnerable species.
